My weekend trip to Florence marked the first time I have ever booked a hostel and stayed in one. Throughout my adventures in Europe, I'll be posting reviews of the hostels I stay in for those interested in traveling to the same cities and countries I am able to travel to while abroad! I'll be doing a hit or miss review with HIT being a place I would definitely stay at again and MISS being a place that did not impress.
The hostel we stayed in for two nights was called CIAO HOSTEL.
Located only seven minutes away from the Santa Maria Novella train station this hostel included:
Overall I'd say this hostel was a HIT! I wouldn't mind staying here again if I come back to Florence!
The hostel we stayed in for two nights was called CIAO HOSTEL.
Located only seven minutes away from the Santa Maria Novella train station this hostel included:
- A shared bathroom and kitchen for the entire floor
- Towels for the shower and plenty of hangers in the closet to hang clothes
- A friendly front desk staff - They helped us with any concerns we had (for example: when we first arrived to our room we noticed a third bed and we had booked a private double bedroom. The woman at check-in reassured us that no one else was staying in our room for the two nights)
- Quick service in case of problems - The lights in our room wouldn't turn on the first night when we came back from dinner and maintenance was able to fix the problem in less than five minutes
- Swift check-in and check-out
Overall I'd say this hostel was a HIT! I wouldn't mind staying here again if I come back to Florence!
