One of the hardest parts about being away from home is the fact that I don't get to see my dog, Louie, every day. However, living in Viterbo has made it a little easier to be away from him due to the fact that pretty much everywhere you walk within the walls you are bound to see all sorts of dogs with their owners. Most owners are fairly friendly too and will let you pet their dog as long as you ask beforehand! I’ve run into several Labradors, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Chihuahuas, Mutts and more! Some bars and shops even let the owners bring their dogs inside of their businesses. That’s something you definitely don’t come across in California (unless your dog is a guide or service dog). So if you own a dog back home and are planning to study abroad in Viterbo, don’t worry because their will be plenty of fluffy dogs roaming the streets to make you feel more at home. |
